You've got the right information for fuel injected engine. The vent pops out and all the hot air gets redirected to the middle of the cockpit instead of the windshield. On June 14, 2001 I mailed a letter to them stating the continuous problem with the fuel pump in the Cougar. Just get the new one in asap, and make sure you note the direction of fuel flow on the filter, and replace in the same direction.
