If your Ram 1500 is too low to the ground to access your drain plug and oil filter, be sure to use jack stands and safe jacking procedures before getting under your Ram 1500.
End plates are precision ground for maximum wear resistance. It was over-heating so I got it my mechanic, he replaced the the radiator, a couple hundred dollars. I got home and engine locked solid no reason, I am sure dropped valve but taking apart now. After a half block I let up on the gas and the engine died again. You won't go wrong using exactly what they tell you. When I tried to restart, all I got was the engine cranking and a clicking sound. There is no patterns to the engine failure.
I might have to go back, someone said 7 qts, I only got 6 and a filter. The motor has been ticking for awhile now. When you change your own oil, you know that you are putting quality oil in your Ram 1500 and that the filter is being changed too. I told them I did not want anything for free but felt the engine should not of went like that. Another problem Dodge knows about but refused to admit. I stated I take care of my cars, always changed the oil between 3000 and 3500 miles and always maintained the filters and greased the joints. I will quote my repair guy, I have never seen a radiator clogged like that.
