Team spirit evaporates as disagreements cause the group to separate into factions — a violent one lead by an Andreas, and a compassionate one led by a Slim. After crash, several players and crew are dead while some have serious injuries. Vaughn forces Eden to swallow the ring, which she does, but Eden then volunteers to assist Vaughn in overseeing the operation, specifically with accounting.

Clearly, good intentions went into this picture, and actors Jamie Chung, Bo Bridges, and Matt O'Leary give it their best shot, despite having little to work with most of the time; still, after viewing the movie, I listened to a 20 minute pod-cast interview of Chong Kim, the woman whose ordeal this film purports to be based on, and discovered that her real story is in effect a much stronger dramatic piece. Eden finds a pay phone and calls her mother, hearing her voice for the first time in a year. Kohl-Welles had sponsored an anti-sex trafficking bill in the Washington State congress earlier that year and would be a major supporter of the Motion Picture Competitiveness Bill. Her films bring with them a feeling of the relentless and heavy push of time itself.
One year passes, and Eden has adapted as much as possible to life in the operation and has befriended another girl named Priscilla, who is shocked to learn Eden is as old as she is by now, 19. It is wholly unclear what they get out of this deal, or why they stay at all. Other people come and go. The scene changes over time, starting out with underground raves in abandoned warehouses or old docked submarines, and morphing into parties at gigantic nightclubs with a velvet-rope policy at the door.
